Piper's Progress

We got Piper's First Nine Weeks Progress report and this is what it said...

ALL As! She is one proud girl!

Bedroom Shuffle

It's been time for a while to get Gus out of the crib and in to a "Big Boy" bed. We have had plans for a while to get the bed that Josh slept in (and also John) growing up from John & Linda's house. Well, that happend on Wednesday. And, we also decided to put Piper in the room with Channing and give Gus his own space. He was so excited about his new bed and new room. And, Piper was very excited about being in the room with Channing. It's all worked out great so far...

Gus and Piper on Gus's new bed! We are getting new bedding and painting the room to make it more of a boy space. He LOVES it!

Piper's new, old bed. This was her crib, and the one that Gus slept in, too (until yesterday). We bought the rails that took it from being a crib to a full-sized bed when Piper was born knowing that one day we'd use it as a big bed. When Channing grows out of her crib, the girls will share this bed. Channing LOVES the bed and Piper LOVES sharing a room with her sister!

Gus and Channing jumping on the bed... NO MORE MONKEYS JUMPING ON THE BED!

Sacked out and slept the whole night in "their" new room!

He didn't budge once all night! I'm so glad that we did this... better late than never!

It's a Love-A-FAIR!

The Pottawatomie County Fair has begun! There were rides, and animals, and, this year Piper entered 2 pieces of artwork... and won!

Beat Georgia and that UGAly Mutt they brought with them!

OSU football has officially started! Josh and I and Jake were lucky enough to get to go to the first home football game, WITHOUT KIDS! John and Linda took the babes to the Lake on Friday and then we joined them on Saturday night. It was a long weekend, so we still got 2 days in at the Lake.

We of course had to go to Chris's University Spirit to buy the yearly t-shirts, hats, jerseys, house flag, car plates, and many other "necessary" items to show our pride for O-State. On the way to make our annual purchase, we did get to see "the walk" that the coaches and players, band, cheer squad, and Pistol Pete make through campus. After the game we made our way to The Hideaway for BBQBB and Jalepaneos (we won't do the Jals again... too hot even for us!) and of course some fried mushrooms! While I was waiting in line to pick up our pizzas some Cowboy fans walked by some UGA fans and wished them luck on the rest of the season... which is why I believe Stillwater is Heaven on Earth. The place brings back wonderful feelings of youth and a carefree spirit and the people bring pride and generosity to all of the OSU community- past, present, and future. I am truly lucky to be a part of the OSU family.

"The Walk"

The Cowboys beat Georgia in the home opener! It was a fun game and a great day!

Gus & Channing's First Day!

I don't know who was more excited about going to school, Gus & Channing, or me!
Gus was so excited to be going to "big boy school" because Piper is going to "big girl school." He wants to do everything she does. He's loving playing with his friends- Banks is who we hear most about. And, Channing, well, she doesn't really know what's going on, but wants to do everything Gus does, so she's all for playing with her new friends and on the play equipment- she's a monkey!

And, as for me, when I left them at Mother's Day Out and walked outside into the cloudy day, the heavens did indeed shine down on me through a break in the clouds, and then angels sang! It was a glorious day!

Ready for school, Mom!

Here comes trouble!
