What happens when big sister goes to school

With Piper gone to school, Gus and Channing have had a lot more face time with me. It's been great, and makes life surprisingly much more calm. I didn't expect that when she started school. Gus and Channing also have gotten closer and play a lot more together. The other day they ran up and down the hall holding hands. It was a very proud moment for me! They like each other, they really like each other!

Piper dressed Gus in her dance gear after school one day. He really liked wearing the outfit! His Dad never saw this get-up since he was feeding cows. Maybe he'll take Gus with him next time!

I was trying to cook dinner one evening and put Channing in her chair to keep her contained. I gave her some "crayons" and she managed to eat them. Notice there aren't any marks on her paper. But, there are pleanty on her face, clothes, and chair.

Channing loves to eat cereal in bowls now. So, I'll give her a little cereal and a little milk- enough to make it wet. Well, she has learned to eat her cereal by drinking it out of the bowl instead of using the spoon that's in her hand. I'm not sure that her brother didn't teach her this trick. She's a pretty smart kid. If only she'd speak!

Channing was sitting on the blanket and Gus was pulling her around. They had a great time doing this for about 30 minutes. Of all the toys in the house, it's a blanket that brings the most joy.

They're watching Sesame Street. This morning they actually sat down to watch, but both had to sit in the red beanbag chair... We have 2 beanbag chairs in our house. I'm so glad that they like each other most of the time. They can be feisty, and Channing is usually rougher. Gus hasn't figured out that he'd win most of the time.
